Chadron State College
Chadron State College is a small state school in Chadron, Nebraska. Chadron is located in the panhandle of Nebraska, in an area known as Pine Ridge. This area differs significantly in geography from the rest of the state. The school opened in June 1911, though a previous institution dated back to the late 1800s. It has an enrollment of about 3,000 students. Many majors are offered, but it specializes in Education. Five of its 25 major buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The athletic teams are known as the Eagles.
