Chad Johnson


 

Chad Johnson (born January 9, 1978 in Miami, Florida) is an American football player, who plays as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was drafted out of Oregon State by the Bengals with the fifth pick in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He was a teammate of current Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh while at Oregon State. He is also the cousin of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson.

College Career

After leaving Miami Beach Senior High School, Chad Johnson attended Oregon State University. In 2000, he caught 37 passes for 806 yards (21.8 yards per reception), and eight touchdowns. He helped make Oregon State the 4th ranked team in the nation and contributed to their Fiesta Bowl victory.
