Cerritos, California

Cerritos is a suburb located in Los Angeles County, California, United States on the American west coast, and is one of several cities that constitute the Gateway Cities of southeast Los Angeles County. It is part of the Los Angeles-Long Beach metropolitan area. The name "Cerritos" is Spanish for "Little Hills." Cerritos is part of California's 39th Congressional District, which is represented by Linda T. Sanchez (D-CA 39) of Lakewood. As of the 2000 census, the City had a total population of 51,488.
