The Central United States is a bridge region between the Eastern United States and Western United States. It is often presented as part of an alternative three region model to the East/West two region model. The region always includes Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Texas. Alternately it can include some or all of: Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
