Center for Advanced Research and Technology
The Center for Advanced Research and Technology, located in California, is a joint powers agreement between Fresno Unified and Clovis Unified school districts which aims to provide a national model for High School Reform. It is attended by 11th and 12th grade pupils from these 2 districts.

Education at CART is based around 4 different career based areas, Professional Sciences, Engineering, Advanced Communications, and Global Economics. Each of these is further divided into individual career-specific laboratories in which students complete industry-based projects, and are rewarded for demonstrations of advanced English, Science, Math, and Technology. In this way CART is vocationally based but not exclusively. For this reason the half-day classes at CART, and are taught by instructors from both industrial and educational backgrounds.
