Cedar Springs, Michigan
Cedar Springs is a city in Kent County in the U.S. state of Michigan, 20 minutes north of Michigan's second largest city, Grand Rapids. Known as "Red Flannel Town," this city is the home of the famed red flannel used by hunters and Santa Claus alike. The Red Flannel Festival is held each year from the last weekend in September through the first weekend in October - an ideal time to start thinking about keeping warm! The community was named for the fine springs bordered by a cedar grove. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 3,112. Located about one mile from US 131 it provides easy access to the cultural aspects offered by the Greater Grand Rapids Area.
