Catchment area

A Catchment area may be:

• a water catchment area - a river or drainage basin (watershed) the region of land whose water drains into a specified body of water;
• a school catchment area - the geographic area from which students are eligible to attend a local school
• the area within which an organisation, company or institution provides its services.
• the area that functions get their customers from either locally or not.
