Catalina is a census-designated place located in Pima County, Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 7,025. Catalina continues to experience increasing population growth, while attempting to maintain its rural character. Catalina remains an unincorporated community, with no plans for annexation into any nearby towns.
