Caspar van Wittel
Caspar Andriaans van Wittel (b. 1653, Amersfoort, d. 1736, Rome) was a Dutch landscape painter. Van Wittel relocated to Rome with his family ca. 1675 and made his career there. His son italianized the family name as Vanvitelli.
