Caroline Gordon
Caroline Ferguson Gordon {b. 1895 d.1981) was born and raised in Kentucky and classically educated. Although she excelled as a critic and wrote at least six good books, she was, in the opinion of some, overshadowed by her more famous colleagues, most notably her husband of thirty-four years, the poet and critic Allen Tate.
