Carnie Wilson

Carnie Wilson (born April 29 1968) is an American singer and television host, best known as a member of the singing group Wilson Phillips. She is the daughter of American 60s pop icon Brian Wilson and his first wife Marilyn.

In 1990, along with her sister Wendy and Chynna Phillips, she co-founded the group Wilson Phillips, which had a few top 10 hits and two albums before eventually breaking up, although they all remained friends.

Like Cass Elliot of The Mamas & the Papas, Wilson had had trouble with obesity most of her adult life. Dieting was ineffective: she would lose weight just to regain it later. She eventually underwent gastric bypass surgery which she felt was a life-saving decision. Due to the surgery and regular exercise, her weight is now under control. She toured TV talk shows publicising her success with the procedure.

Wilson married Rob Bonfiglio in 2000. In April 2005 they welcomed their first daughter, Lola Sophia Bonfiglio.
