Carl Gustav Hempel
Carl Gustav Hempel (* January 8th, 1905 in Oranienburg, Germany ? November 9th, 1997 in Princeton, New Jersey) was a philosopher of science and a student of logical positivism. He is mainly associated with the concept of deductive-nomological explanation and with the Raven paradox.
