Cardiac arrhythmia
Cardiac arrhythmia is a group of conditions in which muscle contraction of the heart is irregular for any reason. Cardiac dysrhythmia is technically more correct, as arrhythmia would imply the rhythm is completely unpredictable, but this term is not used frequently.

Several arrhythmias are life-threatening events and medical emergencies, while others are harmless.
