Canton is a city located in Stark County, Ohio. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 80,806, but according to a July 1, 2002 Census estimate, the population has declined to 79,772. It is the county seat of Stark County{{GR|6}}.

Sports

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is located in Canton. The American Professional Football Association, the forerunner of the NFL, was founded in a Canton car dealership on September 17, 1920.
