Can't Stop the Music
Can't Stop the Music is a musical comedy film directed by Nancy Walker in 1980. It is a pseudo autobiography of disco's Village People. The film is not true to the actual story of the disco group. Half of the film's $20,000,000 budget was spent on a worldwide publicity campaign.
Plot
Jack Morell (Steve Guttenberg) is a composer looking for a band to play his songs. With help from his friends Samantha Simpson (Valerie Perrine) and a lawyer named Ron White (Bruce Jenner), Jack brings together a sextet of macho men who make their way to the top in New York City.
