Calipatria State Prison
Calipatria State Prison is a prison facility located in the Imperial Valley of southeastern California, opened in 1992. The facility confines approximately 4,100 minimum and maximum custody inmates, roughly double its normative capacity. The Hillside Strangler Angelo Buono died there in 2002.
