Caledonian
Caledonian is geographical term used to refer to places, species, or items in Scotland, or particulary the Scottish Highlands. Examples include the Caledonian Canal, the Caledonian Forest, the Caledonian Railway, etc. There are many Caledonian Societies around the world that cater to Scots located away from home. e.g. The Caledonian Society of Norway

With the Highland Clearances and the migration of families from Scotland, Caledonian may also refer to Scottish institutions or societies in other geographical areas of the World. Examples being the Alumni of academic institutions in South Asia which have the word Scottish in them like Scottish Church College, Calcutta, Bombay Scottish School etc.
