Caleb Carr
Caleb Carr (born August 2, 1955) is an American novelist and noted military historian. He was born in New York City, achieved a degree in history, and is the author of The Devil Soldier, The Alienist, The Angel of Darkness, Killing Time and The Italian Secretary among others. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He currently resides in upstate New York on a farm estate called "Misery Mountain" in Berlin, NY (Rensselaer County). He teaches military history at Bard College. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ He is currently (2005) running for the Rensselaer County Legislature. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ His father is Lucien Carr, a former UPI editor and early Beat generation figure. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
