Cairo is a city located in Grady County, Georgia. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 9,239. The city is the county seat of Grady County{{GR|6}}.

The city's name is pronounced differently from Cairo, Egypt: like "K-row", kā·rō, or IPA /ˈkeɪɹoʊ/ (). Although Cairo is nicknamed the "Syrup City" it has no relationship with the popular Karo brand of corn syrup, which is pronounced the same way.
