Byron Foulger
Byron Foulger (born August 27, 1899 in Ogden, Utah; died April 4, 1970 in Hollywood, California) was a film character actor with a familiar face appearing in hundreds of movies and dozens of television programs. Because of his face, mustachioed, bespectacled and moon-shaped, Foulger usually played roles (many times uncredited) as storekeepers, hotel desk clerks, morticians, professors, or bank tellers. One of his final stints was the recurring role of engineer Wendell Gibbs on the popular sitcom Petticoat Junction. He also appeared in the 1959 Twilight Zone episode Walking Distance. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
