Buddy Rice
Buddy Rice (born January 31, 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona) is an auto racing driver best known for winning the 2004 Indianapolis 500 as part of Rahal Letterman Racing. He finished 3rd in the IRL championship that year. He first raced in the series in 2002 for Eddie Cheever's Red Bull team, and was their only driver for much of 2003 until the more experienced Alex Barron replaced him. His drive with Rahal as initially to be short-term while Kenny Brack recovered from a crash at the end of 2003, but it became permenant when Rahal pulled out of CART and decided to enter 2 IRL cars. For 2005 he and Vitor Meira have been joined by Danica Patrick.
