Brooklyn Eagle
The Brooklyn Eagle, also called The Brooklyn Daily Eagle was a daily newspaper published in Brooklyn, New York from 1841 to 1955. It was the most popular afternoon paper in the United States at one point. Walt Whitman was its editor for two years.

There is a current newspaper published weekdays also called The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, which has been published since 1996. It is a continuation of The Brooklyn Daily Bulletin, which has been published since 1955. It claims to be a successor paper to the original Brooklyn Eagle.
