Bronxville, New York

Often thought by those outside of the Tri-State Area as being in The Bronx, Bronxville is a village located in Westchester County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 6,543. It is the home of Concordia College, a Christian liberal arts college operated by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Bronxville is located in the town of Eastchester.

Demographics

As of the census{{GR|2}} of 2000, there are 6,543 people, 2,312 households, and 1,660 families residing in the village. The population density is 2,659.2/km² (6,869.3/mi²). There are 2,387 housing units at an average density of 970.1/km² (2,506.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 91.88% White, 1.15% African American, 0.05% Native American, 4.83% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.73% from other races, and 1.30% from two or more races. 2.93% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
