~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A factory in Kidderminster was established in 1820 and was a major presence in the town centre as recently as 1999; the company subsequently moved its manufacturing operations to more modern premises on the outskirts of the town, although it retains an administrative presence in the centre. Brintons remains a family-owned private company. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In the 1990s, Brintons ran an advertising campaign using costumes designed by Vivienne Westwood and made from the company's carpets. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
