The single, released in 2003, was co-produced by Carey and Randy Jackson. It is a cover of a song originally performed by Def Leppard and written by three of its members (Steve Clark, Pete Willis, and Joe Elliot). This rock ballad, one of Carey's few songs to feature a heavy rock influence, and details an enigmatic journey of a mysterious man who intrigues Carey, yet who keeps "bringin' on the heartbreak".
