This game is the follow up to Brian Lara Cricket 99 (Shane Warne Cricket 99) relesed on the first day of the Ashes series. It offers sleek bowling and batting movement. The game contains the 2003 World Cup in Africa and the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy. These two compotions are licenced by the ICC (International Cricket Council) and contain offical player names, faces, kits,badges and sponsors. All othe modes inculding Test matches, World XI challenge, Classic matches, Classic XI challenge and many more things are unoffical due to rights belonging to EA sports therefore players and kits are made for example Andfew Flintoff becomes A Flintaff and Greame Smith becomes G Smyth. This is one small glitch on a great game. This problem can be fixed by illegal patches though.

The game is also first to include licensed bats such as the Kookabura Diablo and the GM Purist but the game doesn't include bats made by Puma and Woodworm.
