Brian Kamler

Brian Kamler (born February 12, 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American soccer player, who currently plays left midfielder for Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer.

Kamler played college soccer at Creighton University, where he was named NCAA All-American in 1993. After playing for USISL's Richmond Kickers, he was drafted by D.C. United in the 6th round of the 1996 MLS Inaugural Player Draft. Kamler played three in a half seasons with DC, before being shipped to the Miami Fusion in 1999.

Brian was sent back to DC (for Carlos Llamosa) before the 2001 season, spent a year there, before being shipped to the MetroStars for Richie Williams. His stay with the Metros wasn't as long, as midway through the year Kamler was part of a massive six-player deal that saw him end up with the New England Revolution. After two and a half seasons with the Revs, it was time to back his bag again, as Brian was taken by Salt Lake with the eight overall pick of the 2004 MLS Expansion Draft. In nine years in MLS, Kamler scored 12 league goals and 27 assists; half of those goals came in the 2003 season with the Revs.
