Bremerton, Washington

Bremerton is a city located in Kitsap County, Washington, USA. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 37,259. It is home to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and the Bremerton Annex of Naval Base Kitsap. Bremerton is connected to downtown Seattle by a 50-minute ferry ride, which carries both vehicles and walk-on passengers.

Geography

Bremerton is located at 47°34'12" North, 122°39'9" West (47.570017, -122.652625){{GR|1}}. It is located on the Kitsap Peninsula north of Sinclair Inlet and west of Port Orchard. The city is divided by the Port Washington Narrows, a strait spanned by two bridges. The part of the city to the north and east of the narrows is referred to as East Bremerton.
