Brainstorm or Pr?ta V?tra is currently the most successful Latvian rock/pop band. The band was formed in 1989 in Jelgava, Latvia and it consists of Renars Kaupers (vocals), Janis Jubalts (guitar), Maris Mihelsons (keyboard), and Kaspars Roga (drums). The fifth member, Gundars Mausevics (bass), died in a car accident on May 24, 2004.

Brainstorm was the first Latvian contestant to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, coming 3rd place overall in 2000 ESC held in Sweden, with the song My Star.
