Brain Candy (1996) is the first (and so far only) feature film by The Kids in the Hall, a popular but distinctly alternative Canadian comedy troupe. It followed the five season run of their sketch comedy series, which enjoyed success on Canadian and American television.

The film is about the introduction of a powerful antidepressant, entitled Gleemonex, to the general public. It tracks the lives of several users, the scientists who developed the drug, and the corporate heads who marketed it - all played by the Kids.

Opening to mixed reviews (Siskel and Ebert, for instance, were split) and poor box office returns, the movie made a speedy jump to home video. The troupe took a four year hiatus after its release, and have only recently entertained the possibility of a follow-up.
