Bra'tac
In the Stargate universe, Bra'tac is a former First Prime of the Goa'uld System Lord Apophis played by Tony Amendola; as of Season Nine, he is also a Progressive member of the High Council of the Free Jaffa Nation. He trained Teal'c as an apprentice Jaffa to be strong physically and mentally. Further, and most importantly, he taught Teal'c to question the divinity of the Goa'ulds, who represent themselves as gods.

Bra'tac was born in the Earth year 1864 and has a habit of seemingly boasting about his advanced age. In the Season One episode "Bloodlines" (in which he first appeared), he stated he was 133 years old. He later states that he is 135 in the Season Three premiere "Into the Fire" and that he is 137 in the Season Five episode "Threshold".

In Stargate SG-1, Bra'tac is one of the former leaders of the Jaffa Resistance, the subversive cabal aimed at overthrowing the Goa'uld and establishing the freedom of all Jaffa. Now that Freedom has been realised for the Jaffa, Bra'tac holds a position of honor and is still an important Tau'ri liason. He also took over the training of Teal'c's son Rya'c. He is a leader of the Progressive faction on the High Council and advocates Teal'c's positions in High Council sessions on the frequent occasions that Teal'c is away.
