Boz
 - Boz was an early pen name of Charles Dickens, and the name under which he published his first work, Sketches by Boz. The name came from "the nickname of a pet child, a younger brother, whom I had dubbed Moses, in honour of The Vicar of Wakefield, which, being pronounced Bozes, got shortened into Boz."
- The Boz was/is the nickname of the former American Football player and sometime actor Brian Bosworth.

- Boz-word for goat in Farsi. can be used as an insult. Also refers to the legendary Boz Man, a Persian Folk Tale. This Boz Man would come and steal all the young children in ancient Persia until the fabled Jasonechen came and defeated it
