It has a fine sandy beach, making it a popular holiday resort. On the beach are centuries-old tree remains which can be seen when the tide is out. Storms and sand movement expose and hide different parts of these over time. There is a railway station on the Aberystwyth–Shrewsbury line, giving easy access from the Midlands. Inland is Cors Fochno (Borth Bog), of considerable ecological interest. Despite its somewhat ramshackle appearance, this is a lovely place for a holiday. The Friendship Inn gives a warm welcome to travellers and the views across Cardigan Bay are stunning.
