Bone Copse
Bone Copse was started in Richmond Park, London by the Bone family in 1988 by purchasing and planting a tree from the Park authorities in memory of Mrs Bessie Bone who died in that year.

From 1988, trees were added annually and in 1994 Mr Frederick Bone, the husband of Mrs Bessie Bone also passed away.

The annual planting has been continued by the children of Bessie and Fred; Jenny Fitzsimons (née Bone) and Alan Bone.

By 2005 there were eighteen English Oaks and Jenny and Alan intend to continue the annual planting.

The area is marked with a plaque and on the Richmond Park Map it has become a living memorial which will live on through the generations.
