Bombardier (air force)
The crews of bomber aircraft, historically, included a bombardier, as they were known in the United States, or a bomb aimer, as they were known in other countries, who was responsible for targetting the plane's munitions.

The bombardier was responsible for assisting the navigator in guiding the plane to a bombing target. Once above the target, the bombardier held release authority for the aircraft's payload.
