Bobby Hamilton, Jr (born January 8, 1978 in Nashville, Tennessee) is a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver currently driving the #32 Tide Chevrolet for PPI Motorsports.

When he was 15 years old, he found a Ford Pinto in his driveway as a gift from his father (2004 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Bobby Hamilton.) They fixed up the car, and Hamilton began racing it on weekends at the local speedway.

In 1998, he moved to the ARCA series where he earned four top-5 finishes in five races. The next year, he made an abbreviated run at Rookie of the Year in the NASCAR Busch Series. Although he had trouble qualifying for several races, he showed enough promise to get himself a full-time ride the following year. He also made his NASCAR Winston Cup debut that season.

In 2002, he won his first Busch Series race. He won four more the next year and in 2004, he began driving for Cal Wells in NASCAR Nextel Cup, where in his first daytona 500 was given the name "Stumpy" by a young Massachussetts gentlemen by the name of matt. While on the parade lap during driver intros for the busch race matt yelled "STUMPAAYY" and was clearly heard by hamilton.
