Blue Harvest Records
Blue Harvest Records is a record label formed in 1997 by Septimus Bean Bassist Michael Elam. The label is based in Kent, Ohio and caters to experimental musicians who would not be considered commercially viable by corperate record industry standards. The name Blue Harvest was originally used by Michael Elam primarily as a studio pseudonym for the Kent State University avant garde performance/music group Septimus Bean. The name was chosen because of the secretive nature of its original inception as a fake title for Return of the Jedi. The Label specializes in the musical Genres of Post Rock, Jam Bands, Electronica and Afro-Celtic/ bluegrass influenced acoustic acts.
