Bloomington is a city located in McLean County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 64,808. Current municipal estimates in 2004 (based on data from 2002) put the population at 67,417. It is predicted that its population will reach 100,000 by 2020. It is the county seat of McLean County{{GR|6}}. It is also the home of Illinois Wesleyan University, State Farm Insurance, Country Insurance and Financial Services, Beer Nuts, and the Central Illinois Regional Airport (CIRA). It is adjacent to Normal, Illinois, and when mentioned together they are known as the "Twin cities", "Bloomington-Normal", or simply "B-N." The current mayor of Bloomington is Steve Stockton.
