The Red Hot Chili Peppers entered the mainstream with hits such as "Give It Away" and "Under the Bridge" from Blood Sugar Sex Magik, which is widely regarded as the best album of their earlier days, and perhaps their best overall (many critics feel that the Red Hot Chili Peppers' quality fell precipitously after this album). In 1998 Q magazine readers voted it the 72nd greatest album of all time. It is number 310 on the List of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2003, fans on MTV voted Blood Sugar Sex Magik as one of the ten greatest albums of all time.
