Bliss Blood

Bliss Blood is a veteran musician and songwriter who moved to New York from Houston in 1996. She recorded six albums from 1988-1995 with Houston industrial rock band PAIN TEENS, and has appeared on recordings with such groups as The Melvins, Exit-13,and Angels of Light as a lyricist, musician, and vocalist. As well as writing songs and playing ukulele in the Hawaiian swing/1920's & 30's jazz-themed New York City group The Moonlighters, formed in 1998, she currently leads four other New York bands, Voodoo Suite (lounge/exotica), Cantonement Jazz Band (1920's jazz band with piano, violin & horn section), Here's How (1950's cool jazz), and Delta Dreambox (Mississippi & Classic blues from the 1920's to 40's).
