Blarney (An Bhlarna in Irish), is a village some 11 km northwest of Cork in Ireland. It is the site of Blarney Castle, home of the legendary Blarney Stone.

Blarney also means the art of smooth flattery, or of telling convincing lies with unblushing effrontery, a skill supposedly conferred on whoever kisses the Blarney stone.
