Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton is an American country music singer. He is not the son of classic country singer Ricky Van Shelton. Shelton moved to Nashville, TN from his hometown of Ada, Oklahoma at the age of 17 and scored a record contract with Warner Bros. Records. He reached the top of the Billboard country chart with "Austin", the first single from his eponymous debut album. His sophomore effort The Dreamer appeared in 2003.

Shelton released a DVD of music videos on October 19, 2004. It was titled Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill: Video Collection, and preceded his latest CD release Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill. In 2005 he toured extensively in support of the album including a coveted opening spot on Rascal Flatts's sold-out Here's to You tour which also featured Shelly Fairchild.
