Blairo Maggi
Blairo Maggi (Torres, Rio Grande do Sul, May 29, 1956) is a soy plantation farmer and governor of the state of Mato Grosso in Brazil. He is supposedly responsible for the majority of the deforestation currently taking place in the Amazon basin, and was recently awarded the Golden Chainsaw by Greenpeace for his company's deforestation efforts.
