Black Boy is Richard Wright's autobiography, first published in 1945 by Harper & Brothers. Wright dicusses themes of prejudice, the individual, and the healing powers of art in these vivid recollections of his youth. In 1977, the second half of Wright's stories were published posthumously under the title American Hunger.
