Billy Vera

Billy Vera is an American singer and actor. Before he began his singing career in the 1980s, Vera was a policeman with the New York City Police Department.

In 1984, Vera's song At this Moment was the soundtrack to an episode of Family Ties. Three years later, the song made its way to the top of the charts charting a number one hit for Billy Vera and his band, The Beaters.
