Big East Conference

The Big East Conference is a collegiate athletics conference consisting of sixteen universities in the northeastern, southeastern and midwestern United States. Founded in 1979, the conference recently went through a restructuring which saw several teams leave for other conferences and other teams join the Big East. • Villanova University (Plays Division I-AA football in the Atlantic Ten Conference through 2006, and in the Colonial Athletic Association starting in 2007)
