Big Bear Lake is a reservoir in the San Bernardino Mountains in San Bernardino County, California, USA.

The reservoir was created in 1884 by damming the Bear Creek, a tributary of the Santa Ana River; its surface is at an elevation of 6,743 feet (2,055 m), and it has an area of 3,000 acres (12 km²). It is surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, and is adjacent to the City of Big Bear Lake and the unincorporated town of Big Bear City.
