Bewitched (film)

Bewitched is a 2005 film adaptation of the classic television series of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures. The film was released in the United States and Canada on June 24, 2005 and is directed by Nora Ephron. Headlining the cast are the film's principal co-stars, Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell.

The film isn't necessarily an adaptation. It is about a star (Ferrell) that wants to find the perfect woman to play a witch--and his wife--in a TV show, a modern adaptation of the classic TV show Bewitched. He wants an unknown regular girl, and finds her (Kidman). Down the line, he decides to downplay her role and make the show about himself. That's when he finds out the hard way that she really is a witch. The movie was often panned by critics and neglected by audiences, earning $60 million domestically as of late-July 2005. The movie had a budget of US $85 million.
