Beth (song)

Beth is a song by Kiss, originally released on the 1976 album Destroyer. It was released as the A-side of their seventh single. It was the group's first Top Ten single in the US and last until 1990's "Forever." It was also the first gold single for Kiss.

"Beth" originally appeared as the B-side of the "Detroit Rock City" single in July 1976. When that single failed to chart, radio disc jockeys in some markets decided to flip the single and play "Beth." The response was immediate and overwhelming, and led to the song being reissued as an A-side (the fourth from Destroyer) in August. It peaked at #7 in September.
