Bernard Miles
Lord Miles of Blackfriars, born Bernard James Miles (born 27 September, 1907 in Uxbridge; died 14 June, 1991 in Yorkshire) was an English character actor. He also served as a writer and director. He opened the Mermaid Theatre in London in 1959, and was granted a peerage in 1979. In 1981, he co-authored the book Curtain Calls with J.C. Trewin.
